-La Serena: From Monday, March, 1st. At plaza Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires Squire), collects food and clothes.

-Puerto Montt: Collects milk, water and diapers at Escuela (School) 6 (Escuela España) to send donations to Concepción.

-Federación de Estudiantes Universidad de Chile: FECH is calling for volunteers and collecting donations. All donations will be stored at FECH home and afterwards given to Cruz Roja (Red Cross) or directly to the affected people. Address: Periodista José Carrasco Tapia número 9. -Federación de Estudiantes de la PUC: Collects non-perishable food, hygiene products, diapers, clothes, bottled drinking water at its campus San Joaquín and Lo Contador from March, 1st at 9:oo am.

-Juventud de Renovación Nacional: Collects donations at: Calle Antonio Varas 454, Providencia. Phone: 7994200.

-Jóvenes Líderes y Supermercados Jumbo: Campaign to send food to the South. Volunteers should be at Jumbo Alto Las Condes this Monday at 11am. From there, there would be buses to Central Distribución de Jumbo in Pudahuel. More info: Giampiero Giaretti: Mobile: 98270968.

-Un Techo Para Chile. Asks for volunteers to go to regions 7a and 8a to build houses. Please send e-mail to with name, e-mail address, home phone and mobile phone. More info (including how to donate money)

-Rancagua: Monday at 8:30am at plaza de Rancagua. Asks for volunteers. Please bring shovels and picks.

-Help for Tirúa: From Monday on, collects milk, diapers, flour, non-perishable food, blankets and clothes at Casa CVX (María Luisa Santander 0290, Providencia, Phone 4217630). They are also coordinating, with Hogar de Cristo and Un Techo para Chile, buying building material and direct help. Also at Casa de CVX they collect help for Michaihue community, close to Concepción, which is isolated and without supplies.

-Colegio San Ignacio de Alonso de Ovalle 1452: From8:00am asks for volunteers to make lists of people (census) and prepare help for immigrants (mostly Peruvians) who are sleeping in the street at barrio Yungay. They also collect donations for Provincia de Arauco. The same at Colegio (School) San Ignacio El Bosque (Av. Pocuro 2801) and Hogar de Cristo (Hogar de Cristo 3812, Estación Central).


-Health Department (Minsal) asks for blood donations due to the big amount of injured people. Specially needed blood type O Rh-.

-Valparaíso: Blood center Valparaíso

-San Fernando: Blood bank at Hospital de San Fernando, en Negrete 1401

-Talca: Centro de Diagnóstico Terapéutico, near hospital Regional de Talca

-Puerto Montt: Escuela (School) Nº 6 de Puerto Montt

-Región Metropolitana: Blood center Metropolitano, Avda. Vitacura (Ex Hospital Militar) and at Posta Central

-Requirements to donate blood: 18 to 65 years old– Not have had hepatitis – Weight over 50 kilos – Last donation made before the last 3 months.

-Donation hours: 09:00 to 17:00 Hrs. In other cities you can donate at the hospitals (blood banks).
